Change in Consumer Demand: Consumer demand also changed. Many people are accustomed to large screen and multi-functionality of smartphone, tending to seek convenience and functionality of smartphone rather than folding mobile phone.

Manufacturing Cost and Market Competition: Folding mobile phone has high manufacturing cost, competition with smartphone became intense. Since it was difficult to provide products at competitive prices in providing functions and performance required by consumers, manufacturers may limit production of folding mobile phones or concentrate on some models.

These factors combined, considered that folding mobile phones decreased. However, due to technological innovation and change in demand, new forms of folding devices may emerge again in future.
